Aion Love’n It
By: Skycapp
I have been watching Aion: Tower of Eternity for about 2 years now. But, I let my attention slip for about the last 6 months and really fell behind. Until yesterday. Yesterday I stopped by the Aion booth to take a look for myself and I have to say Aion did not disappoint.
First, this game (more then many others) looks absolutly amazing. The art style is purely and simplely without a rival in the MMORPG genere, and from what I am hearing the version we saw on the show floor is not even the latest and best looking rendition. I can’t wait to see what it will look like when it releases.
Next, I decided to give it a little hands on time. Unfortunatly, the exibit hall is not exactly the best enviroment to try to get a feel for a game, so I took a step back and let some of the crowd that had gathered get some one on one time and I would just watch their reactions. I have to say, no other MMO represented here at PAX got quite the same reaction. Many of the people in attendance would start playing and simply stop in the middle of playing, turn around and look for confirmation that this game was real.
I’m sure you will be hearing more from me about Aion, but I want to leave you with this one thought. If Aion’s gameplay is half as good as its visuals I think NCsoft has a hit on their hands.
